What It Is

Gelatomania is one of Taormina's long-standing artisanal gelaterias, active for decades at Corso Umberto 7, practically at the start of the Corso on the Porta Messina side. The gelato is made on-site in its own workshop with selected ingredients.

The flavours cover the classic Sicilian range — pistachio, almond, cannolo, cassata, lemon — plus seasonal and creative variants. Cones and cups, but also granita and brioche.

Why Go

  • Artisanal gelato: made in-house, with a texture and flavour different from the industrial gelato you'll find elsewhere on the Corso
  • Pistachio: the benchmark flavour for any Sicilian gelateria. Here it's made with Bronte pistachio, and you can tell
  • Location: at the start of the Corso, perfect for a gelato during the stroll
  • Portions: generous by the usual standards

Practical Info

  • Address: Corso Umberto 7, 98039 Taormina
  • Online references: Google Business profile — source for current hours and contacts
  • Reservation: no bookings
  • Accessibility: counter at ground level directly on Corso Umberto, street-level entrance.

Hours, prices and availability change seasonally. Check online before you go.

How to Get There

  • From Porta Messina: 1 min, it's at the start of the Corso
  • From Piazza IX Aprile: 7 min along the Corso
