What It Is

Andreas Restaurant is the place run by Andreas Zangerl, the Austrian chef who has lived and cooked in Taormina for over twenty years. First at the helm of Casa Grugno (Michelin-starred), then on his own since 2015 in this restaurant facing the entrance to the Villa Comunale.

The cooking starts from Sicily — fish, citrus, pistachio, almond — but treats it with the technical discipline of Zangerl's Northern European training. The paccheri with clams, mussels and toasted breadcrumbs have become a signature dish. The dining room is welcoming, the atmosphere less formal than the hotel restaurants.
